FACTS.COM- (trial database)- A news service that covers U.S. and world news from 1940 – present.

  • First click on “Issues and Controversies” (to the left) and then type topic in Search box.

 

CQ RESEARCHER- Covers the most current/controversial issues with complete summaries. Topics range from social and teen issues to environment, health, education, science and technology.

Type topic in Quick Search box. 

  • May also “Browse by Topic” (link to the left).

 

SIRS- Focuses on social issues-access to full-text articles, documents and graphics.

  • Type broad topic in Subject Headings box.  Click Keyword to type in a phrase. 
  • For additional topics, click on “Database Features” tab (top). 
  • Click on “Suggested Research Topics” (listed in all three columns).
